Ok, I have two GTX 260m cards, I am using the 260.99 drivers. when I am using a program that uses the card/s an odd noise starts... like a ticking clock but faster, about 3-5 ticks a second. The ticking is about as loud as a wrist watch. The sound is not the fans, my cards are not running hot, they are about two months old. It started when I got the 260.99 drivers (I think).

Photoshop, AVP 2010, FFXIV, Silenthill (all SH games), Crysis, ext...

I am worried about permanent damage I could be doing to them. I am not seeing any glitches or other problems, just the noise. anyone other than me getting this?

It's called coil noise.. and it's been around for years. Most graphics(regardless of make/model) cards do it, and is not a sign of malfunction. The coils are simply vibrating at a frequency that is audible.
