When I ordered my Alienware 17 1499.00 base model at the end of September the option to upgrade to a 1920x1080 screen was not available without ordering the next Model which was several hundred dollars more than I could afford.
Within 2 weeks of receiving my Laptop in early October Dell changed its website and started offering the 1080 screen upgrade for the base model.
I Sent a nice Email to Dell asking if they could do anything for me since I really wanted the 1080 screen.
Got a quick response today when a Dell Rep called me and said they were going to build me a new system with the 1920x1080 screen and I could keep my current laptop until the replacement is built and shipped.
They would then send me a prepaid box to ship the old one back..
Looks like they are going to charge me nothing for the upgrade or any restocking fee..
I have had nothing but great service from Dell in my many years of service...
Thanks Dell, A Job well done...
