Great deal at Newegg, or is it?

$2,149 free shipping for the following
    Newegg.com - DELL Alienware M17x(m17x10-1847DSB) NoteBook Intel Core i7 740QM(1.73GHz) 17.0" 6GB Memory 500GB HDD DVD±R/RW Dual ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870

The only issue... they don't have the display type listed, I don't know if its the full hd? I tried contacting newegg, they referred me to dell, I called Dell, they weren't any help, had never heard of newegg and frankly they were upset that someone is reselling their product and couldn't get over it.

I posted on eggxpert to try and find out, question is, does anyone have this model from newegg? Can you tel me what the display resolution is of the LCD?
A few other sites are selling this same model and product ID (same specs), amazon has one available, same issue, no info on the display!

Any help would be appreciated!

I have read from others that it is a 14XX by 900 display, not the 1200.

Not with that low res screen. If you don't want to wait for it to be built, can't you look on the outlet?

I wouldn't mind. i've used my RGB screen about 3 hours total since i got mine. my m17x is used as a desktop and never leaves a desk and is always hooked up to a HDTV.

Yes I did search, for some reason, I couldn't find that post, thanks for the link.

I'm not happy with 900p, I will be trying to return this and waiting for something on the outlet site. Thanks!

hmm, they will probably allow me to return it with a full refund due to the mailer claiming full HD.

Guess it depends on how you define “full HD”. I thought HD meant capable of displaying at least 720p, which obviously that display can.

It can display full HD (1080/1200) when hooked up to a HD monitor.

I would be more inclined to think that it needs to do it without any peripherals.
