Yours doesn't throttle at all? Even overclocked above 850 on the core? What about 2500 on memory?

No, using vbios though with 1.05v, coz memory is unstable if u even overlock 50mhz without overvolt, atleast for me

No.. the Dell 680m doesnt throttle like the dell 580m... only if you overclock to a certain point

I have not used a 680m much so can not comment. however the 675m does throttle exactly like a 580m ... because they are exactly the same card.

    i'll summarize:

gtx 580m: 63c power throttle, 78c temp throttle (the power throttle lowers clocks, so it may only be slightly noticeable, but the 78c temp throttle literally kills your clocks and is very noticeable)
    gtx 675m: 78c temp throttle

gtx 680m: no throttling that we know of, but overclocking on the 2gig Dell version is very unstable currently, so it could be viewed as throttling by the end user when the clocks bounce up and down

In the R3, all nvidia cards had the 78c temp throttle...i would guess that the 680m would be subjected to this too, but because the temps are very good on the 680m, it may never hit 78c unless overclocked

my 680m is overclocked to 894MHz (highest available setting in msi/stock voltage)

msi showing max temp 68°C when running games like BF3 on ultra settings or with 3D vision
haven't experienced any throttling issues yet.

That's pretty normal. Clock speed fluctuations usually occur during benchmarking and other highly stressful environments. Games even at their highest settings offer normal stress levels which doesn't introduce throttling.

you are correct. however i'm responding to the OP's question in reference to the throttling issues experienced with the 580m, which occurs even when not under highly stressful environments. ;)

Well, I had an R3 with a 580 and went through nightmares trying to get the throttling fixed. Had the card and heatsink replaced. Finally I got a replacement (see sig) and I can say the the 675 is much better behaved. I know about it being a rebadged 580 but something has changed.

The 580 would P1 throttle at the drop of a hat with some games and overheat to P8 in others.

I tested thoroughly the 675 at stock clocks with the same games and it never throttled at all except when power saving was enabled and then I saw P1 during low usage sections of games such as cut-scenes.

With overclocking, it was almost impossible on the 580. P1 was immediate requiring the P1 clock to be upped as well, but this only decreased the time-to-overheat P8 drop (78C). The 675 does not OC as well, I can only get to around 720 on stock voltage before it artifacts. P1 does sometimes cut-in when gaming but drops out much quicker tan the 580 and is simply overcome by matching the clocks. Temp is much lower always. I have been unable to make it overheat and throttle at those clocks. Max temp 68C.

Just my experience though, my original R3 was a 'bad' one - thanks to Dell for finally agreeing and replacing it. :D
