    could someone please provide the hard drive size on the m17x r3 i think its 2.5 inch but not sure eg getting a m17x r3 but dont want to pay dells expensive upgrade charges.

    laptops typically use 2.5" drives. AW is the same. Also, please use the sub-forums when posting model specific threads. Welcome to the forum.

    I should also mention that the R3 uses 2.5" drives that are 9.5mm thick. Some of the bigger (1TB+) drives are 12.5mm and won't fit. ... at least not without cutting a few bits out of the caddy, if memory serves.
