    Hey guys,

I have a quick question regarding one of my hard drives. I am getting a warning yellow flag for one of my hard drives in the SMART response in hwinfo64. It is for this line.....

End to End Error Detection Count: 98/99, Worst: 98 (Data=2)

What do you think? I have not noticed any issues with it, this is surprising to me. My other drive is green for that line and reads this:

End to End Error Detection Count: 100/99, Worst: 100

any ideas what is going on?

    Thanks
    -Tim

If it is under warranty call Dell they will send you a new one. Also un the system diagnosis by pressing F12 on boot it will test ram and the Drives. You might want to back up your Data.

Yea, I am backed up. i have read that end to end error has to do with the cache memory on the HDD. Not sure if its going to fail...anyone else have anymore info on this? End to End Error detection with HDD....

Diagnostics check out fine, The only place I see anything wrong with the one drive is in hwinfo SMART readout, with that end to end line above in 1st post. Its running great besides that.

    Thank you
