I'm trying to decide which one to buy. Either a 64gb Msata caching drive / Double 750gb 7200rpm drives in Raid 0 or an Msata Boot drive. Which one would make the most difference without breaking the bank? (and no, SSD for storage is not an option)

mSata boot drive would be the best option of the 3.

yes crucial has relative cheap msata card up to 256gb.
boot from msata and go with raid0 750gb if you need the storage.

Is raid 0 HDD a big performance increase? I'm considering going for 500gb raid 0 then buy a 64 gig msata later on from newegg and installing myself.

Edit: Scratch that, XoticPC has a great deal on raid 0 500gb so I'm just gonna raid 0 + Boot drive. Thanks for the help guys.

As for SSD, do any of you have a recommendation? I don't know the actual size of the drive required, but as for memory space I'm going for 64gb. Is it 2.5"?
