    Hi all

How do I know if an hdd is compatible with the r3? I got the 256GB SSD, so now I have speed, I just need storage.. Haha. Also, where can I buy one?

The machine has been sent from heaven and will arrive tomorrow :)

I would think any SATA II or III laptop 2.5" drive would work. I've seen that a lot of people use the Western Digital Scorpio Black line of drives in these, if that helps.

I bought both an SSD and a WD Black 500GB drive that I plan to put in mine in the next day or two.

    Alright, thanks so much.
By the way I noticed you received your alienware a week after you ordered - you're so lucky! I got mine 32 days after ordering haha

So I just installed my new HDD, but the computer isn't detecting it. What should I do? It's the secondary drive, not the primary

EDIT: nevermind, it seems to recognize it when I press F2 when I boot, however I can't find it in "my computer". It's set up in RAID (my two harddrives), should I use ATA?
EDIT 2: Right now I'm using RAID. Turns out I haven't changed the drive letter yet - but I don't know how. When I right click on it on disk management, it doesn't say "Change drive letters and paths", instead it says Convert to dynamic disk or convert to GPT disk.

You will first need to format it, then you can assign a drive letter.
