    Hello all

Just getting used to my new m17r3 i7 2760 6990m

Having a problem and hopefully someone can help...
My old Asus, just plug the HDMI from tv to computer... resize everything perfectly

On this beast, I plug in the HDMI cord in HDMI OUT and the tv will not display the correct size. Tv is a panasonic tc-p50x3 which is a 1024x768 resolution. I pick that on screen res and it isn't even close to fitting on my TV... cuts off like 2" of screen on each edge.

I tried every single resolution and still, nothing will display the full wideness of the screen

(Probably the wrong place to post but this issue is only happenening on the m17 and dont know where to post.)

    Thanks

Im an nvidia owner, but i have to help out friends with ati a lot. Have a look at this: http://blog.unhandledexception.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/ati-set-overscan.png
Im not sure where exactly the over/underscan option is located in the newest CCC, but im sure you can find it in no time. Make sure to set it to 0% and check that your tv is set to something like "just scan" "1:1 Mapping" or "PC in" in aspect ratio or input options. This sadly differs highly on a per model basis.

Thanks for pointing me in a direction. Well give that a try.
My computer also doesn't switch audio to the hdmi out and it just plays out of my computer and won't switch to tv. Very annoying

You can adjust overscan in the CCC. I had to do this when hooking it up to a TV as well.

Also, if the TV has a PC input mode or a "just scan" mode that would fix it as well.

To get the audio through the TV, set the default audio device to the TV.
