    Guys, I need some help!

I was watching a movie on my Samsung TV through my laptop via HDMI out on my m17xr3 when the picture on the TV just went black. Now, my laptop is not even recognizing that the TV is connected at all.

I've tried different HDMI cables, different ports on the TV. Nothing.

I've also uninstalled the ATI/AMD drivers, the integrated Intel drivers and then reinstalled. Still nothing.

My warranty is set to expire in just over a week for this but would like to know if there's something else I can try before giving Dell a call and hassling with the warranty.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

On my R3 the HDMI port out went bad and needed a MB replacement. Get the call registered with dell - even if they do not fix it first time it's a problem that started during warranty.

    Good luck!

thanks... was surprisingly easy to get them to send a tech out to my house. I wasn't on the phone for more than 10 minutes. Will know more tomorrow! Thanks again for the input!

Good to hear. I would expect the tech to come with a new MB, the other socket that goes bad is the power one, mine is starting to go so I need to call it in soon ;)
