    Hello everyone,

I'm currently playing my Xbox 360 through the HDMI-in port in my R4. Would connecting via VGA produce a better image? I have the GTX 680m and 3d 1080p screen.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Nope, maybe even less quality. Btw, VGA is only video out on these machines. There wouldn't be any sound with it anyways. Also your video basically goes straight to your monitor so your gpu doesn't really do anything.

    VGA has a max resolution of 800 x 600 while HDMI 1.4 has a max of 4196 x 2160....enough said there.

Where the difference really comes in is the fact that VGA is an analog signal, while HDMI is an uncompressed digital image. The uncompressed digital image is going to be a higher quality every time

VGA as a resolution is 600x480

But the port and cable (vga D-SUB) supports up to 1080p
