    Hi, All

Hopefully i will receive my M17x next week...I also bought a 3820qm QS for not very much money.

Golden rule number 1: think twice, do once. Before I get started, i would like to understand this monster as much as possible. I hope you guys can help me in this case. I am trying to focusing on installation, cooling, and OC settings...
I also bought a Coollaboratory LiquidMetal Pad.

All suggestions, experiences, tips, tricks all welcome!!

What paste will you be using? I'm a pretty big fan of Icy Diamond.

I'm planning to use the coollaboratory liquidmetal pad.
It looks like thick kitchen foil, and will melt when CPU gets hot! I read some good reviews at some other places, in real life, the performance is a bit myth.

Heh, yes. I just get nervous saying ICD, as I worry others might not know what I'm referring to. I didn't think to say it the way you did.

And OP, that's cool - was assuming that was going to be your cooling pads. So many choices, so many new things!

After some research, IC Diamond seems to be a very good thermal paste. For the sake of £4, I might just buy a small tube to try out.
Any one here had experience with coollaboratory liquidmetal pad?
