    My m17xr3 is no longer waking up from sleep! I have to hard shut it off every time! I've already reinstalled the OS, whats going on? I am on modified bios A08, but this issue didn't happen before.

    Flash back to the Dell BIOS release. If the problem vanishes, then you have your answer. Start there.

    If not the BIOS, start looking at your display driver. AMD Reference driver or Dell release? If AMD release, go with the Dell release and again check to see if the problem is resolved.

    Troubleshooting can be a pain but if you start with the basics, it wont take long to track down.

    Try to limit the hard power cycles - each time you do this, you risk damaging your drive. At the very least, corruption which may push you into performing a clean install.

    I think i solved my issue. I reset the modded bios to default settings, and it works fine now. I think the C7 state I enabled may have been causing issues. Thanks :)
