    Had a accident and my system got damaged

    So a few days ago i had a accident and my system got damaged in the process, I have the accidental damage service,
    I am wondering what steps should i take to get my system back in tiptop shape. Also have you or anyone here ever had the misfortune to get their system damaged
    and had to use the accidental damage service, If so how was the service?

    Yea i spilled full glass of beer on mine. Took battery out turned upside down vacuumed excess liquid. Next day worked fine apart from sticking keys.

    Also, what are you talking about?

    Ring the accidental cover number then and get it replaced.

    Am i missing something?

    Just call them up as with a usual fault. You are paying for the service as you say so it should not be any different from normal repair.

    Take pictures. Call it in. Explain what happened so they know and they may have you do some troubleshooting to determine the extent of the damage. Depending on what they find they may opt to repair or replace the unit. Some people have had parts replaced in their systems.

    The pictures part is in case they have you send it into the depot. That way if something happens to it then you got proof of what it was when you sent it in.

    You must RMA to Alienware/Dell for a Complete Care claim, and they have to evaluate how badly damaged it is and if it is worth fixing. If they deem it totaled...they replace it.
