The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    so i was on skype video chatting, and all of a sudden, my m17x just shut off and restarted on its own...no bluescreen nothing......im confused on what it could be! should it be a concern? (it was the first time this ever happened)

    meanwhile, i think you might want to check what caused the rebot by using event-viewer. Copy that error code and search online.

    I am pretty sure some guys from Microsoft forum has the same problem and mentioned about skype video chatting as well(I found out that when i was trying to troubleshoot my M17x). Microsoft even has downloadable small fix tool for this problem.
