Hi guys, i just did a fresh install of os win7 on my ssd. I would like to know what driver should i install.

i follow according to this guide.

    a) Intel Chipset HM67 (R289402)
    b) Intel Management Engine (R290940)
    c) Realtek PCIE (R289405)
    d) Audio (R289922)
    e) Synaptics (R289406)
    f) Gigabit network (R289538)
    g) Bluetooth (R289410)
    h) Wifi (R289412)
    i) Video (3D 460M should install R291227 and R291236. ATI should install ATI drivers then IGP drivers while in IGP mode - R289926 and R291069.)
    j) Alienware OSD (R289920)
    k) USb 3.0 (R289408)
    l) Freefall Sensor (R289409)

But when i go to dell website and look up driver for m17x r3 some of the drivers are not there. Should i just download what i need from the dell website instead?

Thank for help. I try to install GTX580m graphic card but i only got integrated card running even if i open HD video my gtx will not be activated.

One more issue. When i tried to reinstall win 7 on my ssd. win 7 took 37gb space this time compare with the 7gb on my 1st attempt. What happen? i deleted everything on my ssd during the installation and left with drive 0 with max space allocated for my ssd. How come the 2nd attempt it took 37gb space???? o.0

That is an old driver list, and many have been replaced by newer versions. Use the current version listed on the Dell M17xR3 Drivers & Downloads Page.

It can be difficult to determine whether the 580M is installed and functioning properly when Optimus is active. One way verify is to open GPU-Z. If the 580M is included in the dropdown box at the bottom, then it's installed. To verify, select the 580M, click on the Sensors Tab and start a 3d program -- Furmark is useful for this purpose (just click on the Burn-In Test box). If the Clock sensors show 620/750/1280, the 580M is operating.

The current Windows installation is much larger then the old because you saved, perhaps inadvertently, the old Windows installation when you installed the new. You can remove the Windows.old files, but it's a pain. Probably easier for most users to do a clean installation.
