I just bought a new alienware m17x r3 (just got it yesterday ordered it on may 19th) i talked to the dell computer people, which were no help what-so-ever, and was told that,G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ, ram would work on my laptop. However after adding the memory to my laptop once it hits the desktop the BSD just pops up and restarts. So far the errors have read PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. spent about 6 hours yesterday messing with it and trying to talk to dell to no avail. Figured I'd hit the forums see if anyone could help. Would it be a driver issue or is something wrong with the ram, or possibly a bios update is needed? Not too sure any help would be great.

May well be a bad memory stick.

Try each stick by themselves (yes you'll lose dual-channel mode but you're only testing), and see if one or both cause the issue.

Can also run memtest86 or Dell diagnostics to see if the memory is ok.

yeah i ran windows memory diagnostic and it said there were issues with the memory and to contact the manufacturer, but i thought it said it would save a log to the desktop but i didn't see one, possibly cause once it booted BSD. I'll try each individual memory now though.

Yeah, just contact G.Skill and ask for a replacement. I hear their customer service is pretty slick, so no worries. BTW, I got the same set and it works flawlessly. Shame that you got a faulty stick. :(
