Hey guys, my alienware 17 R5
    i7 4710mq
    880m
    16gb ram

Started to keep the CPU fan at full Speed all the time.
My temperatures are normal, I don't thing it is a problem with the CPU temperature.
That happens all the time, even with 0% CPU and GPU Usage!

I tried to control de fan speed with HWInfo and Fanspeed, and didn't work.

Try resetting the CMOS first, if that doesn't help try unplugging the CPU fan and reseat the cable.

Possibly fried or corrupt EC, if CMOS reset doesn't work (pull ram method, beeep insert ram before next reboot), need new motherboard

Also check the pwm pin on the 4pin cpu fan connector (it used to be the blue coloured wire on the older models). If this pin isn't making contact the fan will run at 100% all the time.
