I cant figure out whats up with my system... About four days ago I noticed I was getting laggy playing games and confirmed via Fraps that I had been getting sudden drops in FPS. I've tried everything from swapping in my original 4gigs of RAM, changing power brick to my spare, and even did a fresh respawn. Nothing is helping and I dont know what else to do. Im thinking possibly throttling or maybe a gpu is on the way out? Im just not sure and I dont know how to check and see if the last two are possibilities. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Should i try cleaning my drivers? and if so, whats a good free program?

Thanks in advance, i hope I can get this figured out...

Did you check Steath mode? Open GPU-Z and see if crossfire is enabled.

Sorry I was just about to update this, Stealth is off. Games that have been effected are BC2, SC2, even WC3 when im in a battle! It helps to lower the graphics settings to med and low, but I had no issue running high and ultra up untill this point.

The only thing that is now different from my stock set up is that I have upgraded to the RGB screen. But, things were working fine 100% fine for 3-4 days since the install (and I just cant see any way the screen could be the culprit). I am now running 266.58 drivers, but the problem was still present when I spawned to factory setting and factory drivers.

Don't think the screen is an issue, it is a passive device meant to output in a visual way the signal from the video system.

Are you monitoring your temps? (rec a log of them)

Is it possible to pull a log since I just respawned?

I dont know maybe it was the power brick....?
I just ran BC2 wih FRAPS again and it seems more stable with high graphics settings of 45-50 unless I was in the thick of something, then id see low to mid 40s. Just seems different. Maybe im just noticing the difference in 1440 resolution to 1920?

My next question was what the resolution of your last screen was. Thats the differance. Displaying at 1920x1200 is going to be more demanding than 1400x900. Thats the cause of your FPS drop. Thats normal because now your GPU's have to scale more pixels. Nothing you can do about that.

Hmmm I guess ill have to take the hit. The RGB is def worth it! Would a CPU upgrade ease any of the difference I am experiencing?

Doubtful, it's all going to be on the GPU at that point since thats what is doing the extra work.

1080p is 1920x1080, our RGB are 1920x1200 (1200p). But that's not becouse of the RGB, it could be 1080p RGB also. It is the aspect ratio of our screen that is 16:10 instead of 16:9
