    Hi,

M17x R2 was working perfectly last night, and today when powering it up all I get is a blank screen. Keyboard and speakers light up - but the 2 alien heads do not. I assume the laptop is not actually booting up because no matter how long I leave it on the power button turns it straight off rather than going through a power down cycle. No error beeps etc when powering up either.

I've tried the following fixes / diagnosis:
BIOS Crisis recovery - doesn't seem to even try to recover, USB flashes once on initial power up but the nothing
Swapped GPU so safe to say not a graphics card issue
Swapped Memory so also assuming it not to be that

Only thing I've not tried is the CPU.

Anybody got any ideas or should I just plunge for a new CPU and 'Hit and Hope' ?

    TIA
