Crossfire is definitely on. It says it on GPU-Z as you can see in the pictuers I posted initially.

I haven't run furmark yet. I have to do it when I get home. I'm at work at the moment. I had GPU-Z running and was swapping between GPU's while running the FFXIV benchmark. It runs in Windowed mode so I was able to watch it as the benchmark ran. The Master GPU took all the load and the Slave took zero.

Crossfire I believe only works in Full screen mode. It doesn't run or help in window mode.

    Cheers. :)

Doesn't Furmark run in windowed mode? Most of the Screen shots I see people post it's in windowed mode.

The GeForce GTX 480M SLI DDR5 GPU's were released in June I just read. How come Alienware doesn't offer it in their laptops?

FurMark Multi-GPU runs in windowed mode in CrossFireX. And it stresses both GPU's alot (95-99%)!

FFXIV Benchmark does not, but it would in Fullscreen (if you know how to force it ;)). And the full game does aswell in Fullscreen, just no 100% driver yet for us...

Yeh for furmark just make sure you choose the multi-gpu option exe.

    Cheers. :)

Mr mrbdrm.. I think i had something simular.. Cant remember exactly, but got some kind of error when i typed atiflash -i.. I formated the usb stick again and used bootme file from the link above, and everything was ok. In bios, do you got the Windows(R) Windows millenium(Emergency Boot) screen? I got this screen and it worked flawlessly. I just typed atiflash -i. Then you see two lines adaptor 0 and 1, dID 68A0 and asic Juniper and so on... You should do as Mandrake said and check:
    . -cf bios0.rom
    . -cf bios1.rom
    . -cf nbios0.rom
    . -cf nbios1.rom
THE CHECKSUM MUST BE THE SAME!!!
Hopefully its just the usb stick that is messed up. Good luck

I am gamer, I just finished downloading HWinfo32 and whenever I try to swap from GPU1 to GPU2, I get a BSOD. Maybe my 2nd Video card really is toasted like the Alienware Tech Support Guy said. =(

For some drivers you are using this behaviour is "normal" in HWinfo32, i had it aswell and if your cards would be toast... you could not even read the base clocks and temps from your second GPU in GPU-Z. You are doing something wrong in recording data i guess, did you check refresh in background in GPU-Z while running something in Crossfire and log 2 individual files, also run Furmark MultiGPU @640x480 and show GPU-Z info and 2 sensor images and provide a fullscren screenshot from running all that.

Your second GPU is clearly throttled down from 700/1000 base clocks, to idle clocks 100/150, and this would be not working if the card would be toast, sorry to dissapoint you, your card should work. ;)
You just did not found how to determine when crossfire and both gpus are used yet :D

Should look like this, compare your average fps with mine.

If you're putting the whole atiflash folder the command would be c:\atiflash\atiflash -i

Not sure if that's what your problem is. Make sure you're also changing your boot sequence through your BIOS to the USB drive 1st then HDD/SSD 2nd.

Run Furmark at 640x480 in windowed mode while you apply the settings in Riva Tuner. If you want to reflash your GPUs, look on the first page of the thread and follow everything exactly. It's pretty simple. I laid it out as easy as I could.

    i just flashed my cards

    i tried 850/1150 @ 1.12 and ran Furmark 640x480 for 5 minutes. Temps hit
107C on both cards. No artifacts. Obviously its way to hott. I ordered TX-4 and new thermal pads, and might even do Jokers Copper tape mod. All this will be delivered on WED. I ran 3DMARK06 3 times no problems -scored 21050
and ran Vantage twice no problems -scored 16700
BAD Company 2 crashes and i get low FPS (Like 12-20FPS) every 2 minutes otherwise its 70-90 FPS Max settings.
I did a GPUz log and temps never went over 90C. No GPU throttling neither.
I then did a ThrottleStop Log while playing BC2 and same thing, Temps around 85-90C. No signs of CPU throttling.
What could the crash be from? Should i up the voltage to 1.15 from 1.12?

when you increase the voltage, does that affect GDDR5 memory voltage too? i know for sure that the increased voltage helps with GPU OC. at standard stock voltage, my memory wont go more than 1080MHz, but i noticed most people here easily hit 1100MHz.

Congratz to you flashing :) If you already now got 107c in furmark the cards wont be colder. Im at 850/1050/1.1v and i max 92c in furmark. I,ve been up to 880/1150/1.15v everything stable but temps sky high.. 104c in furmark.. If you just try with one card hows the fps and crashes then.. Because i noticed one weird thing in Mw2. In different spots in the game my fps goes down to 45fps. I move an inch and its up to 120fps. Move back an inch down at 45 fps again?? And nothing going on around me, no explosions or anything. Yesterday i turned cf of and tried the game with just a single 5870.. Same spot as before and now i got 75fps. And this is in every single spot that i had low fps before.. I turn cf on again and im down at 45 again.. So do Modern warfare got problem with crossfire support or what

Hey guys...I just bought a r2 and followed the guide on page 1 to flash higher clocks on the 5870's, but when I try to flash the higher clocks using the atiflash -p 0 nbios0.rom command, I get the error 0FL01 and that it couldn't erase the BIOS to re-program. I've already flashed the Dell vbios successfully if that is of any help...any ideas??

This ones going to be tough, and time consuming. I had the same issue with a set of my cards. What your going to have to do is download ATI Winflash, then remove the slave card so your running a single card. Then flash through ATI Winflash. That should basically unlock that GPU. Then you need to remove that GPU, and put the other GPU in the slave slot and flash through ATI Winflash, after thats done you can put both back in and then any other time you need to flash, you can simply flash through dos like you were trying to do. It's a pain, but thats how I got it to work.

Not to hard. Pretty self explanatory when you get in it. It just flashes through windows.

when trying to open up winflash....it says: critical file missing: please download and run video bios flash again?? WHAA?? Does that mean that I need to be using Dell's latest driver (I'm on 11.6 now)? I've downloaded the program several times but the same issue persists.
