Hello guys/girls I have been having ongoing issues with my laptop for the past 2 months concerning integrated graphics dell agreed on the 29th of august to replace my GPU and motherboard i have post various of threads with NBR members trying to fix this issue but to no resolve.

after they lied to me about the parts being in stock of which they weren't and various booked repairs where made with 0 contact from dell techs not even a call to tell me they couldn't come this occurred 3 times since the 30th on the 4th planned visit the dell tech said he didn't have the parts i re contacted support concerning this i was told that parts weren't going to be available to OCTOBER.

they give me 2 options 1 i could have a better card eg GTX580m (i know it says in my signature that this already happened it hasn't) or i could expect the amd 6970m and recvieve a slight refund the dell tech was meant to come on the 17th/09/2012 eg yesterday this didnt happen the dell tech phoned sayed he never had the parts i asked for a replacement laptop at this point i was told today that they wouldn't give me a replacement and that the gtx580 would be in the tech hands tomorrow and would be installed on the 20th eg Thursday.

this situation has went on for a total of 2 months from when i first arised this issues to dell.

Where do i stand on this ???
    what can i do???
should i sell the laptop and cut my losses please note i have finance on this laptop with half still left to pay off???
Should i go to trading standards????

PLEASE ANY HELP OR ADVICE IS WELCOME ANY!!!

So there coming with 580m tomorrow?

    Sorry Thursday.
Give them one chance to actually fit a new part. If there is still problems. Don't ask, demand a replacement.

Give them the chance to actually replace the 6970 and mobo. See if that solves it. If not, a new machine.

I know its frustrating and depressing. Its a very expensive bit of kit. And to make things worse they are messing you around, but keep pressureing them. Try and ring the same rep, everyday. Twice a day even, then speak to his manager and then his. Keep ringing until you get a solution. Dont give up!!!

    when did you purchase yours?

I feel your frustration. I suggest you go higher. Get some managers names, supervisors, uk buinsess leader or wahever. Hassle the funk out of them.

Hope they sort for you on thursday, i really do.

thanks Joe i was told by an employee today that i should phone tomorrow and ask for a manager and speak to him about gaining some compensation because it has taken so long. Dell support can be really useless sometimes and my next day warranty runs out in 30 odd days

That doesn't mean anything. You have logged the issue well inside your warranty period.

    Good Luck!!

And be sure to update us on the progress. I read a lot, on these forums, about how great Dells warranty service is. Proof here it can be atrocious. Or maybe its just UK. Ive never had to deal with them, luckily (touch wood).
