I sold my M17x-R3 that I had upgraded with a 680m following some assistance provided by folks on here. The new owner flushed the system to do a complete new install and now he can't get the 680m to be recognized again. I recall that there was a change or two that had to be made in a file in order for the card to be recognized but I can't remember what and where. Can anyone provide some assistance?

The new owner has registered on here and I believe he may have contacted Mr. Fox as well. His name is djcgeez2189 on here so please PM him if you are able to assist.

    Thanks!

Thanks J95, pretty sure you are the guy that helped me get it running the first time too. He apparently can't receive PM's yet so hopefully he sees this thread.

Also if he has loaded up the latest dell bios that would have 'broken' it. You need an unlocked bios to turn off the iGPU...

True that, unlocked BIOS + Modified INF is what you need.
