Okay so I see a few issues with Dell here and I am no different.

I ordered a M17xR4, this is what has followed. (New Zealand date format)

    Order Received 5/07/2012
    Work In Progress 5/07/2012
    Production Complete 12/07/2012
    Manufacturing Build Complete 12/07/2012
    Arrived in Main Hub 16/07/2012
    With Local Carrier 17/07/2012
    EDD 23/07/2012

On the 19th I rung Dell to see if they had a tracking number, I finally got one out of them. The 23rd came and went, I called Dell on the 25th, it should be delivered today or the next. So I then called the local carrier, who said there is a hold on it from Dell.

So I called and emailed Dell to then have the courier company from Australia call me to say Dell has put it hold on it, until they release it it wont be delivered. So I emailed and called Dell again and the call center had no idea what I was talking about, this went on for a few days.

I called the local carrier who said they don't have it it has gone back to Dell. Contacted Dell who said a hardware technical issue has meant it needed to go back (BIOS update) In the mean time I get an email from Dell saying they have been unable to deliver, fill the email out and we will get it to you, and one saying they recently contacted me about the update, do this to fix it... There was even mention I may have to re order if it goes back to the factory!

So I now have 3 care cases open and heaps of emails to the no help center.

I emailed yesterday to have the rep say he and the manufacturing team have asked for it to be released, I already new the courier didn't even have it. On the local couriers tracking it said it was in my town which is 5 minutes walk from where I live. Now they have no reference to it.

I sent another email this morning the response I got was it they believe it is now with the Australian courier again...... W.T.F!!

What is going on. I cannot get the same story out of the 3 parties I have been dealing with. What makes this even more frustrating is I have had to do all the running around. Aside from the Australian courier calling me not once have Dell contacted me to fill me in or offer any idea as to what is going on.. No one can really tell me where it is and when It may be delivered.

So is it easier to reverse the credit card charge and leave it, or is there anyone from Dell in New Zealand that can help? I cant talk to another foreigner on the phone as I just have issues understanding them and vise versa, not to mention if they don't wanna know about it they hang up, and no I haven't got agro to them.

If anyone has any advise. (Reverse credit card) (Wait to see) I would appreciate it.

    Cheers.

Yeah. My advice. Dont buy Dell computers. I had a similar experience. It took them a month to get me my computer, but not before 1) throwing away my prepaid money for a good 10 days 2) double charging me for a headset 3) a convoluted mess of communication consisiting of 35+ emails and several phone calls around the world, all in all making it the worst online purchase experience I've ever had.

The computer though. Its frikking awesome.
