as the title says, i need help with the new drivers. i used a modded inf from an older release, but it won't install nvidia update, the hd sound drivers or anything else, except from the display driver..
another quick question, does the new driver disable GPU changing from the taskbar icon?

    thanks in advance
    -Nicolai

oh thanks dude, don't no why i didn't see that.. but now we are at it, do i need to get a new modded .inf every time there is a new release?

and yes you will get feedback when i got it installed ;)

just installed almost without problems. everything installed fine, except the update components, is that a known issue? and i can't seem to switch to integrated graphics with the icon in the taskbar, but only with the power profiles in windows?

    No problem, glad it helped.
Well, you have to choose between performance and switching between IGP and dedicated(and viceversa without restart) :( Dell won't release any new drivers with this ability.
I wanted to look into it but my M17x is going to have a new owner.
Tell me if audio thru HDMI works with your setup.

As for future releases pm me or I'll just upload the .infs if laptopvideo2go takes long time again to release theirs ;)

    Cheers

sad to hear about you getting rid of the R1 :( but im glad you helped me out, plus rep ;)

btw, why did nVidia remove the ability to change to integrated graphics with the icon in the taskbar?

Sad indeed, I loved it and never had any hardware issue since day one, hopefully the new owner will take care of it as much as I did.

As for nVIDIA not supporting the cards, I guess It's Dell's(and other OEMs) request to nVIDIA.

I am having the same problem as Nicolaibaun, except that when I download the latest drivers from Dell, or nVidia it says it can not find compatible hardware. The Dell driver I tried to update with is a beta version that came out to support Battlefield 3 driver needs. Here is the description:

    NVIDIA_NOTEBOOK-BETA-DRIVER-_P08_R318652.exe

I am at a loss as what to do short of calling Dell which I hate. All I have had is problems with this Laptop since day one. Overheating issues mostly. They have replaced my video cards twice, all my fans once and its still happening. About ready to send it back to them. Please let me know if there is a work around for the driver. Thank you for any help you can give.

    David
