    Hi Guys ,

Been reading this forum for a while and decided to join as i need some help on what i should upgrade first . and as all you guys here have some great knowledge on the m17x i thought i would ask here.

ok i want to upgrade my CPU to the 920x and also add a 2nd 5870m to my machine , as you all know parts arent cheap to just purchase bothat the same time , so what do you think i should do first ?

    i7 920x plus a swap for my i7 740qm laptop monkey wants a extra £125 on top

5870m plus left side cooling fan Dell wants £320

    thoughts....

    thanks guys in advance

The 5870 should be done first. I have i7 740qm and dual CF 5870. My cpu has never been a bottleneck and the crossfire is amazing!

Edit: you will need a 240w adapter and a crossfire cable too!

If you are not a benchmarker, I do not think it is worth it for the time being.
In all games I have tested so far, it is my gpus that set the limit, not the cpu.
The cpu is in general under used.

Edit: Everything in my system is stock, no overclocks.
