I noticed while trying to play a game recently that my fps have become very low as well as studders.I checked the temps of the gpu after letting it sit overnight , same issue still , at 77c idle and sometimes even 80c.I assumed it could be from the new Nvidia 306 driver , so i rolled back to the dell download page driver , still no change. Processors seem to be running a little hot to at about 80c. I have no idea what it could be at this point and i love my alien so much ,, someone please advise , i don't want to have loved it as in a past tense please !

Try to clean the fans and do a repaste for CPU and GPU. There is a tutor link below to repaste the GPU. CPU is kinda similar :D.

Thanks , but that is something I've also tried with no change whatsoever. The only thing i can think of is a reformat ,, but i don't want to erase it all and then be left with the same issue. Really wondering if anyone else has had this problem , at such a high degree.

Ok, good news . I found the problem. Let me say that to anyone who is suffering High gpu temps , low fps , high processor temps or stuttering this might help you out so i will share. I noticed the problem first playing star craft 2 , I would only have 8-17 fps and a gpu temp of 90 c while playing on all ultra settings. After this fix my fps is 50-70 and my gpu temp is 61 c while playing on ultra and 43c at idle. What i did was first reinstalled the nvidia driver from the dell website as a Advance clean install then i went to C/programfiles/nvidia corp/*nv* something cant remember which , but in one of the folders in this location you will find all of the previous driver installs rather you did a clean install or not, you can tell by the dates and copies of the same file name, i then deleted that folder. After that i reinstalled the 306 nvidia driver from the website again as a advanced/ clean install. Restarted my alien and its back to 110% , i gave the extra 10% because its now that much quieter and better then it has been in a while.+ Planet side 2 works 75% better than it did. I hope this helps someone else , good luck.

Note: also , kinda odd but i reran the wei (windows experience) and noticed a high increase on all scores , except the stupid windows aero score.
