    Help upgrading m17x

    Ok so I'm new to forums so I need help I'm trying to upgrade my m17x I think it's an r2 but from what I've read they came with i3's mine has a core duo but it is the aluminum chassi I want to upgrade the CPU and gpu but don't know what's compatible or where to find it I've searched the web and cant find a straight answer also I resently had to reinstall windows 7 and now my graphics card won't switch modes and the computer reads it as a generic nivida card now java won't even run on it I've tried re installing drivers but still no luck this is one of the reasons I want to upgrade my gpu any help u can give I would appreciate thanks :)

    If it has aluminium chassis and a Core2 Duo CPU, then it's a M17x not a M17x R2 ;)
    Which drivers were you trying to install?
    Have you tried disabling the integrated card in BIOS while plugged in and attempt to install like that?
