I am using the 485M and need to use an external monitor for 3D, however... The built in IR emitter in the R3 doesn't send a signal very far. I bought an External Emitter to use instead for a better signal but when I go to set up 3D it just says the internal is active.... do i need to uninstall a 3D driver and replace it or something so i can use the External? I don't even need the Internal one active.

@Brabo not sure how you got that from the OP, he says external screen pretty blatanty...

@OP When you plug in the external emitter it takes over instead of internal, at least, it does for me. Even in game if I plug external in it switches 3D off and if I hit Ctrl+T it turns it back on using external.

    Hi

If you have a notebook with a built in emitter and you want a more powerful emitter, you can simply connect the USB based emitter and it will override the built in one. You do not need to disable the built in one.

If so, tell Nvidia to get the 485m working in 3d. I know clevo is releasing a 3d model with the 485m, so we want it in our r3s!
