First off sorry if this has been answered before, but I'm not sure what to search for.

The notebook is old but was running great except for the occasional wrong power adapter error. That's why I tried the A07 bios update thinking it may help with that issue.

The bios update seemed to be doing it's thing when it hung at 2 blocks remaining. I let it sit for at least an hour. The only way I could power it down was a battery pull.

Now it won't power on. I get no response from the power button with or without battery. Tried different outlets. I think I killed it. :D

Is there anything I can do to bring it back to life?

Or is it time to toss it in the garbage bin?

    Thanks for any help.

No simple recovery from that problem I'm afraid. You either try to track down a motherboard or search for bios recovery. I have seen companies that claim to replace the bios chip but the long and short of it is that it's probably time to part it out :(.

Well bummer. Thanks for the reply. I guess it's time to start shopping for a new machine.

'Fraid so, but a new machine is now justified :p.

many of us are waiting to see what AW release with the latest 980m GPU. Looks like the competition has got the jump on them :(.

Funny thing; a blank bios IC goes for $2 and the programmer for $25, yet for that $35 you still have to do the soldering yourself ...

Got programmer, care to send me that mobo :D ?
