I've owned my R1 M17x since last August, and its generally been running well. However, just recently I've started to get the "black screen of death" a few times. Typically it has been in a game, so I discounted it, but just tonight I was just watching Youtube and got it. Symptoms -- the monitor goes black, sound continues for a few seconds afterwords, and then the sound goes out. Only a reboot will work to get the thing running again. Any thoughts?

I should add that I'm running the 257.21 drivers with my 280M cards with hybrid mode disabled. Also, I have a two year warranty so I'm still well within the warranty period (maybe I was smart for a change in getting the extended year).

It's because of the drivers. It has happened to other users, me included. Do a clean install of the latest Dell Beta drivers and see how that works for you, or even latest Nvidia WHQL drivers (258.96).

myxcon is right, I too, have these issues with that driver.

The 258.96 drivers appear to be good so far so try those.
