I am starting a huge project in which I will eventually make my R4 water cooled. I need to know all the parameters that I should test pre mod. If you have a how to or suggestions let me know. Good software is appreciated.

what system do you have and what are you specs? If you can't overclock the CPU I personally don't think it would be worth the effort. :(

Let me give a little background as to why I am doing this. I do a lot of data parsing, that is the primary reason for my purchase of an alienware. Since I don't do any gaming my GPU is always idle. Unless I decide to watch a video etc. Now for the important stuff my specification are:

    3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3720QM (overclocked to 4.0GHz)
    16GB (4 X 4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
    2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660M
    SSD,etc,etc

Now for the reasons for water cooling. 1.) I am going to upgrade processor to Core i7-3940XM and would like to overclock quite high. 2.) Someone told me it couldn't be done. So have taken the challenge on. Thoughts?

well your going to need to find a radiator that will fit properly onto the CPU. If you wanna watercool, why not just build a desktop? :(

Well based on my design I wont need a radiator on the CPU. It will work around the internal copper piping. As for the desktop I took this on as a challenge for a laptop water cooler.

    Lol and thanks.

That is a legit thinking. We normally use Unigine Heaven for benchmarking and CPU-Z with prime 95 for the CPU.
