    Hey there, i used cpu-z to find out my ram specs. (attached the screenshot)

    I want to know my ram bus speed.

    Please help me find it out.. it shows 667mhz.. is it? coz i bought 1600mhz ram.
    if its 667mhz for sure, then i have to change it.

    please assist me..

    Out of curiosity, what CPU did you get? If it's the 2630, it can't do 1600. No specs in your sig so I had to ask ;)

    Dont you have to select XMP profile to run it at 1600mhz? - I dont really know as I dont have a SB chip but obvioulsy you 2720 supports ram speed of up to 1600 so thats not the issue. Have you tried looking in bios to see if you can select memory speed and use xtreme memory profiles?

    Enabling it should be something along these lines I imagine:

    Right now you are running at 1333. You need to go into the bios and change the memory config. Once you change it CPU-Z will show the FSB at 800 (or close to it) that would be 1600 mhz. 800 x 2 = 1600. 667 x 2 = 1333(4). Check out the following thread for info on changing the bios:
