    Help: 460m Fan Settings

    I am using afterburner to overclock the gpu, but the fan settings don't seem to work. I've changed it to be more aggressive, but the fan just doesn't seem to want to respond to higher temps. I'd rather have a loud cool running system, than quiet, but hot. Thanks.

    I believe it depends by the fact that Afterburner, as well as other software like speed fan etc.., are meant to be used on desktop video cards, where the fan is physicaly connected to the video card it self (that actually has his own controller). On a laptop the fan(s) are connected to the motherboard, the controller isn't on the video card. (that's why when you use softwares like gpu-z to monitor gpu fan speed, it reports false measures)

    So far i believe that the only software able to do the trick is HWinfo32.
