    Hello mates,

I'm a little worried about the temperatures of my computer, I have a m17x R3 with a 680m and 2820QM, and when I'm playing Assassin's Creed III my gpu temperature rises to 76 º and 81 º of the cpu.

    Is this normal?
Is this dangerous for the gpu and cpu?

Fans work well and have no dust.

    Thank you for your help.

Yeh thats high but not dangerous.

Try a repaste and check pad placement. I recentky repasted by own 680m afrer hitting 85c in Crysis 3.

Also, double check your vents for dust when removing the heat sink.

Failing that, elevate the back of the laptop for better ait flow or purchase the Coolermaster U3 cooler.

    The CPU temp is ok.

    Thx mate.

I have the CM Storm SF-19 but never use. xD

Can you recommend some thermal paste which is not dangerous to apply?

Doesn't seem high to me. When rendering my cpu hits 100 degrees Celcius.

Hitting the 100 mark is quite above what's considered normal.. Either the CPU needs a re-paste or the laptop has a gigantic clog that won't let the fans do their job.

Have you checked your temps while running a benchmark? (3dmark11, Heaven, etc..)

In 3dmark 11 the CPU maxed out on 89°

I'll try and repaste it next week if that's to high :)

89.0C is still a bit too high, if you feel comfortable re-pasting the CPU you should definitely look into it.

Post max temps and thermal compound when you're done please :D
