Is it worth it? How many years will this last? I'm planning on playing starcraft 2, team fortress 2, counter strike source and maybe some other games but none too graphically ridiculous. My main concern with this is the processor, will it still be reasonably fast?
OVERALL: Will I be able to get 4-5 Years out of this laptop and bring it to college and go to LAN parties and such with it. Thanks.

Ohh nice, do you think the cpu is good enough to last? Im upgrading RAM to 6GB bc I have an extra 4gb laptop card. I most likely wouldnt be able to upgrade the gpu though. Is this setup worth $1259

1259 is totally worth it. The R2 is easily upgraded so it's a good price. That and it comes with the illusive rgb led screen :D

I would take it if I had an extra $600 lying around and put in dual 6970's and a 940xm right now :D

as been said already, with a 920xm CPU and a couple of 6990's you'll probably get another 2-3 years out of it. It just depends on how fussy you are about the resolution and game details that you want to play at

Those games listed above can be played by your current computer specs comfortably without upgrading

    It's worth it.

The system is nice, Definitely upgraded. The cpu is plenty for gaming and you could upgrade gpu's to 5870s or 6970/6990 crossfire.
