This Poll is only for people who have received a R3.
This forum is full of problems with these new laptops and may be putting people off. Im not sure it is fully represents the general opinion.
Any thoughts good or bad about these new laptops would also be appreciated.

I voted 5. No problems on my end.
-
No complaints here, rock solid and already has traveled 2000+ air miles..
-
Voted 4. Laptop is great, however I won't give it a 5 until the advertised WiDi becomes available.
-
I am very pleased myself, with no issues yet.
-
Either way, I'm with you on this one, that was probably one of the things I was most excited about when I was reading reviews and watching youtube videos of this thing. -
I voted 4. I'd give it a 5 if everything worked; I'm patiently waiting for a replacement. I don't think about the wait too much though, my current R3 is keeping me thoroughly happy despite the manufacturing shortcomings.
-
Mine has no problems out of the box and works as advertised. I still gave it a 4 because I think the display should've been rgb led or IPS and the lid aluminum and/or magnesium. Plus the system needs a subwoofer. Basically I think it should have been built like the M18x is going to be
I think I see myself selling the R3 and grabbing the M18x on launch day.

bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
Everything works great for me.

I gave it a 5.
No issues, no real meaningful defects and the laptop runs and feels very smooth.
Ask again in six months and we shall see if that changes. -
gave it a 4, had a minor problem with the orignal HDD, had a tech over to replace it and it has been perferct since. kills every single game that you can throw at it.
-
Generally good, waiting on replacement for +50% buzzing left speaker.
-
its seems dell could safe a lot of money if they done more to make sure each laptop worked before sending.
-
feels good to see more of 4* and 5**
will vote in this thread once I receive mine -

Say I get my M17x R3 and resell it(I paid alot less then what they wanted).. I can make about $400-$500+ on eBay.(there may be a business in this... hmmm)
With those more advanced setups though, some prices are over $4,000. -
Though it's probably a 4 due to some easy and cheap improvements that should have been made, I voted a 5 as I am very happy.
I just don't understand why I gained 8 degrees celcius playing games and 6 less while running 3D Mark Vantage by just changing paste and pads. That should be done in factory, they should just buy better quality pads and paste period. -
Take the resell discussion to PM please. No need to derail the thread. Thanks.

I voted 4, Performance is amazing for a laptop but I'm overall disappointed with the build quality.
Some parts feel solid while others are just.. eh. I'll keep it though -
-
4 here for about the same problems. The machine itself is rock solid and I've had a blast. Since I have an original it has to take a .5 ding for the mother board but its only .5 cause it was Intel's fault originally, the other .5 ding comes from the build quality around the command center buttons and that piece of plastic coming up. Other than that its fine.

you know, everything on my order was flawless...i didn't even get the flawed media bar that most people seemed to get...maybe its because my school has a deal with dell, and they placed the order, i really don't know...not one problem with it for the last 6+ hours of extreme usage.
and...damn...i thought my desktop was good...this thing blows it away! -

My replacement still has a speck of dust under the screen. Still 4/5 stars.
I guess I'll try to live with it and see if the dust drops down over time or something :|
How Pleased are you with your R3?
