This is how I did it. Not sure if there is an easier way or better way.

First point to make, I was running my system with dedicated graphics only before I began install.

I used the upgrade offer. Formatted a USB stick (at least 3GB) in FAT32. Ran the upgrade setup tool and installed Windows setup to media when asked. Once done, restarted and enabled UEFI in the BIOS. I left legacy rom enabled at this point. Booted the setup from the USB stick. I was installing to a fresh mSATA SSD. I guess you can choose whichever HDD you want to install to, just let Windows setup format, partition etc. After install used the Windows 8 drivers from Dell website and installed everything except the onboard graphics.

I then hit FN+F7 to enable hybrid integrated / dedicated. Restarted. Installed the Windows 8 drivers for the integrated onboard Intel graphics. Restarted. Restarted again and entered BIOS. Disabled legacy rom and enabled secure boot.

    Done. Worked for me.

If you mean you installed Windows 8 from within Windows 7, then although you've enabled UEFI in BIOS, you won't be able to secure boot without a clean install as the HDD needs to be in the GPT partition format and not MBR.
