I recently replaced the 750GB HD with a Samsung EVO850 1TB SSD. There seems to be no point in using the 64GB mSATA device in RAID0. If it is possible I'd like to use this as a OS recovery device. If that is possible what BIOS changes do I need to make in order for that device to show up as a bootable storage drive.

Hi, struggling to remember but AFAIK you go into IRST (or the bios hot-key Ctrl-K, for drive config) and change the 64 SSD to a standard, non-raid drive (or something similar to that!). Then you will see the drive in Disk Manager and you can format it and assign a drive letter.

If that is what you need?

    Good luck

iirc you need to open the intel rapid storage technology program and unpair it from whichever drive you were using it to boost. unpairing it will i think cause the ssd/msata to lose all data and be available for use(might need to format) after a restart
