    How do i swap my graphic cards? (not physically)

    Hi guys, i got one called graphic properties, i've heard that it is there i can swap it, but i can't find anything??

    Please help me that would be a big help :)

    what laptop have you got and what graphics card is in there and what do want to swap it to.

    Oh yea ofc. sorry, :eek: It's an Alienware m17x3 i got a nvidia geforce 560m graphic card, but i'm using my standard graphic card (Intel(R) HD graphics Family) if that can help :)

    Has it got Nvidia Optimus technology ?? (Is there a sticker on your laptop saying so ??). If so switching is automatic, It will detect the graphics load and switch accordingly. Still if you want manual switch you can right click desktop>>Nvidia Control Panel>>3Dsettings to choose which all applications to use Nvidia GPU

    If it does not support Optimus then it will use an older technology called "Switchable Graphics". I think you have to change graphics inside the BIOS for that (Not sure)

    And it does'nt support Optimus

    BIOS: Basic Input Output System
    it is basically the relay between your drivers and the harware

    BIOS is the basic control panel for your computer that is available at bootup. Normally you enter a key at bootup to enter the bios. This key is usually F2 or Del in most computers
