I just use a microfiber cloth thingy. Works fine and doesn't redeposit any crap. In the rare event that I get something on the screen I use my bottle of LCD cleaner from my TV.

Micro-fiber with a 90% Isopropyl Alcohol/distilled water mixed at a 50/50 ratio. Put it in one of those little spray bottles you get in the cosmetics section of the departent store. Works perfect for any fingerprints and is also great for cleaning the rest of the laptop-touchpad, keyboard, lid-you name it.

I use windex packaged electronic wipes. They are like $4 and clean great and dry fast. Use it on the keyboard, screen and the outside.

Is it ok to use those LCD cleaning solutions for the palm rest (soft touch area) and also the lid with a microfiber cloth?

I use a moist cloth, what is the difference between that and the "real" cleaning kits?

So far, I have not had any issues at all from the cloth.

I just use the outside of the protective case the m17x came inside. Basically just to clean the dust off.

The cleaning kit that I use is alcohol and ammonia free which leaves no streaks and I use it to clean the entire laptop. A moist cloth can leave streaks. Plus it comes with 2 microfiber cloths and a travel spray. Honestly it makes the laptop gleam like new when I clean it.

I use the RadTech microfiber cloth that I bought to put between the keyboard/touchpad and screen when the lid is closed. Works just fine. I wash the cloth on a regular basis.

Do you have to mix it? What would happen if we went straight rubbing alcohol?

Currently I use eyeglass lens cleaner and an eyeglass wipe cloth to clean my screen. For the rest of the notebook, I use a regular napkin with a dab of rubbing alcohol on it. Seems fine so far.
