I've just received my Alienware m17x R2 today and I wanted to update my graphics driver. I'm wondering if there was a different process I had to do since I have Crossfire or do I just update it like a single graphics card? Is it possible to update it?

Well the decision is entirely yours. You choose between single card or crossfire or sli.

After you install the newer driver, crossfire might be disabled so you'll have to access AMD control center and Enable Crossfire.
Regarding the installation process, nothing changes.

I would also advise you to make sure your vBIOS for your graphics cards are updated to the latest version available from Dell. The latest version allows you to install the newest driver directly from AMD's website. Older vBIOS versions only allow drivers provided by Dell.

edit: Use GPU-Z to check if you have vBIOS version "012.020.000.027.037640" if you do, there's no need to do any of the below and you can download and install the latest driver from directly from AMD. If not you need to update.

Here is a comprehensive guide on how to update to the latest vBIOS provided by Dell. If you find that method a bit daunting you can use my method here. Make sure you install the latest driver 5870M driver from Dell before you do this.

Both are great suggestions, I'll recommend to stay with the DELL drivers for more stability but some games might require an updated version.
