    How's the quality of the M17x r3 "17.3-inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED"?

Does it show any symptoms of washed-out colors, bleeding, or bad viewing angles?

If any of you have looked into the current Sager line-up, the stock 1080p screen being offered by them looks to be completely crap (bad viewing angles, bad colors). So I'm wondering if there's anyone who can comment on the quality of the 1080p 60hz screen offered on the M17x.

the viewing angles are fairly bad in my opinion.
Especially when the light starts shining through this office window - I have to adjust the screen every few minutes or I can't even see (but that's due to glare).

At night I find myself turning the LCD a lot as well (slightly more open, slightly more closed). Maybe I'm just picky / insane / mentally challenged.

Color is fine...but it's no RGB.
Overall I find the panel ever so slightly worse than XPS L501x / L701x, if not exactly the same. Something seems lower quality, but I can't figure out what it is.

Your kidding right? Even in the video you posted he says that he doesn't use them at max brightness so why would you worry about comparing them at a level that you wouldn't even use?

Yeah, I thought "alarming" was a bit dramatic. People will freak out over anything. From everything I have seen and gathered here, this screen is head and shoulders above the 8170's.

I am simply going by what I saw in the video, 2 systems side by side both at full brightness and one of them (60hz screen) being darker than the other (120hz screen) and to create an equal level of brightness the 120hz screen was reduced by over 50% - then they where the same, am I missing something here ? to me that is alarming to say the least, I just reduced my XPS 3 notches and it's like being on battery, what's with that :(
