The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I am ready, looking forward to something FAST,BIG, HUGE, WOW, did I say FAST!

Hope Alienware doesn't disappoint , the M r1 r2 r3 have kind of been buggy and not that great, I give them 7 out of 10.

Would be nice to see a problem free system right out the box
    I know I'm dreaming. :)

No. This thread is about the purchase, not the date when available. right?

It's about purchasing an m18x. Why wouldn't it go in the m18x subforum?

It probably does belong in the m18x forum, but if you ask me the only m17x that isn't in the same family as the m18x is the R3...

The m18x is the true successor to the m17x R2.

Will anyone ever understand that people have different needs so they buy different computers? Does it really matter whether it's an R2 or an R3? You apparently need dual GPUs and a big bulky case...I don't. I do, however, need a 17" screen at a reasonable price with exceptional performance...thus I purchased an R3. It doesn't mean I don't respect your preference for an R2.

I do, however, support the issue that since there is an M18x section, this thread squarely belongs there...
