I can't get a consistent answer from Dell. If I buy an M17x with dual 4870 cards, will I be able to drive more than 2 displays?

My goal is to drive 4 external, independent monitors. I've had one Dell agent say that is possible, another says only 2 are possible, another says I would be able to support only 3 displays. A fourth one said that I could only drive 2 displays, but he then told me I could get a 6500 laptops with an NVidia Quadra graphics card and that would have 4 DVI connectors I could hook up to! I don't trust any of them to know what they're talking about.

I'm not using this for gaming, but for programming and video editing, and the screen real estate of 4 displays is a necessity. The portability of a laptop (semi-portability of this one) would also be a big plus at times.
