Nicely done Frank - good for new users. Couple of comments (you knew there would be ;) )

    1. I've never seen the option to 'use in-game refresh' so maybe they were using a later driver than that which is available on the dell site - dig-dig!

    2. A final screen suggesting using the 'test steroscopic 3D' button to see it in action without any game specific interaction. Much better than the stills that come up and an awesome 'help me obi-won' moment when the nvidia name pops out of the screen! I felt like I could reach out to it, actually that is fun to try as your hand appears to pass through the projected image :D

    My 5 Cents...

how did your config go through? i tried the 680m + 120Hz 3D vision bundle and dell site gives a popup saying they are incompatible..? dell rep changed my config to 675m... but i don't want the 675m.. lol

There's a bug on the dell site, The incompatibility relates to the top cover. The 120hz display has a different cover. Just ignore the error and later in the build you select the 3D cover :D. Get the 680m if you want 3D and can afford it. It will cost a lot more to upgrade later :D

What's the 3D performance like? Is there a big drop in framerates?

IMO it's brilliant! There is a big drop in frame rates but for some reason it's not that noticeable - well not going by the numbers anyway. Batman Arkham City on max settings is a little less 'smooth' but I either drop down a bit on the direct x 11 settings (you won't really see it anyway) or overclock the card a little. Assasins Creed Rev, does need a little OC on my 675 but the 680 should eat it up no prob :D

Both games just look awesome in 3D. Everyone I've shown it to says the same thing 'how can you go back after that?'

Please remember though it does rely on your eyes seeing it at it's best so just because I love it you might get headaches :(

    Have fun!

Oh yeah, Max Payne 3 is also awesome but you have to turn off shadows - something that is needed in a lot of games for 3D - again, you only notice it when comparing.

Depends on the game and how it uses shadows. Some you just have to turn it down a little, some ilke MP3 just get 'weird' when looking at shadows through the glasses.

Nice thing about the nv system is that you get an on-screen advice text from the driver with a rating and suggesting any settings that might need adjusting, eg '3D vision ready', or 'Good' - 'turn off post processing'.

The game list and ratings all come from the driver so with each release new titles get added. You can browse the list of recommended games in the NV control panel.
