My r2 with 5870s routinely has temps around 100c under full load (stock clock, stock paste, etc.)
Wanting to drop my temps without repasting, shimming etc. I cut a nice little rectangle out of my desk under the gpu vents. Boom -- 85-87c and even oc'd to 750 core. Am thinking of installing a few 120mm fans in the desk hole to cool even more...

Without modding your desk, you can lift the back of your laptop. Give it a bit of an ergonomic angle, allowing space under the laptop and thus allowing more air to the fans.

Here's something that might help you:

Though I do suggest you repaste the GPUs and CPU and at least clean your heatsinks. -
A good aluminium laptop chill mat with an external power source would definitely make a big difference.
How to drop your GPU temps 10-15 degrees at no cost.
