hey guys, I've had my alienware 17 since i believe october - november. Lately, my gpu and my cpu have beeen running really hot resulting in fps lost.

How would one go about dusting out the fans?
Can anyone help out with a tutorial of some sort. I haven't found one for the new AW17.

    Thanks

You should remove the fans and use some dust blaster (compressed air) to clean them. While you're in there, I suggest re-pasting the system.

Here are two videos you may find helpful. They basically just show you how to disassemble the system. The owner's manual is also a great resource:

Thanks for the videos J.Dre, those should help Rad710 to have a clear idea of what has to be done.

I find it easier once I have the computer back off to remove the fans and clean them using a 1" brush because you then have access to clean the heat-sinks.
