Is there any way to check exactly which graphics card is installed in Alienware M17x R3, between 6970m and 6990m?
Ive tried GPUz but its showing 6900m so does every place else.

right click on your desktop and choose graphic properties,
click on information on the Catalyst Control Center window that will pop out,
    then choose hardware ..
from there you will get info about your card including detailed version and gpu and memory clocks .

Core Clock in MHz 715 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 900 MHz
    Total Memory Bandwidth in GByte/s 115.2 GByte/s

those are the 6990m clocks .. 6970 will different :)

Or you could just look at the shader count.

    6970M has 960 shaders and the 6990M has 1120. <_<
