Upgraded my M17xR4 from win7 to win8 pro. Everything working well except the old OSD display isn't appearing. All I get is a windows-style volume control in upper left corner.

I tried uninstalling the OSD, reinstalling both the old version of it and the newer x64 version. Neither one seems to be appearing. Anyone else solve this similar problem? Thanks

I got OSD working on my R3 under Win8 x64. Using Dell's official driver.

have you tried using a program like CCleaner to clean out your registry after you reinstall? Just an idea. :)

Yes running A09 bios in legacy mode, with latest Dell x64 OSD driver and latest command center release. No OSD and some media bar buttons like eject don't work.

Try this. Uninstall the OSD driver >> Turn on .netframework3.5 in Programs & Features >> Install this version >> Having .netframework activated should make the driver work fine.

Well that was the newer version OSD I already had installed. Uninstalled and reinstalled it to make sure, making sure the .net 3.5 was still checked (it already was). Still doesn't want to work.

Hey gamerguy. You are not alone. I did the same as you, upgraded to win8 pro and updated all the drivers, and the OSD is trash. i've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, all the advice that has been offered on the forums but the OSD stlll does not work. I still get windows built in OSD which is something i guess but im super annoyed by all of this.

    Hi,

I am new to this website as a consequence I do not know if I am in the right thread but to explain my problem shortly, I have got a M17x R1 and installed win8 x64. Everything just work fine except OSD and wifi cause it appears the radio is turned off (probably because of OSD). Do you have any suggestions to get it work ?

    Thanks
